Subject: AT&T Tilt with Gmail Mobile

I've tried downloading the Gmail mobile application on my AT&T Tilt,
running Windows mobile 6.  It installs just fine, and I can run the
program.  However, I always receive an error that I need a data
connection to use the program, which I have (since I JUST downloaded
the application).  Google maps works great.  Am I missing some kind of
setting?
