Some friends' of mine have enabled automatic forwarding in
their Gmail account.
In recent days I have reported a strange behaviour of that
service.
If I send them an e-mail through my browser (firefox) and
my gmail account, it comes in their gmail mailbox and it is
properly sent to their automatically forwarding address.
But if the same mail is sent from my symbian mail client
(profimail), while remaining my IP address the same (i use the wifi
connection), they
receive mail at the gmail address but they do not receive in their
forwardig address.
This happens only by a few days and I can not find a
valid justification counting that setting is not changed.
did they set up a general auto forwarding or did they only set up
forwarding for specific email addresses? if they only created a filter
for your gmail address, that could explain.

I think it is unlikely that select messages are not being forwarded
(unless they get classified as SPAM).
It is possible that the messages are being forwarded, but not accepted
by the target address. Be sure to check with their provider.

Of course, I also changed the target forwarding address but, I repeat,
forwarding is successful if mail sending was made by the browser
(they don't get classified as SPAM); happens so wrong if done by mail
client.
This is proof that the messages are not considered spam by the
recipient but are not forwarded by gmail

It could be.
But in any case what is the solution to the problem?
Some of the google helpers can not try to reproduce the problem and
help find a solution?

I am not with Google, but I did try to reproduce the problem. I do
not use Symbian, but tried sending messages, with both Thunderbird and
Evolution, from one Gmail account to another, with forwarding from the
second account to a third, and all the messages arrived at the third
account.
Another possible variable: are the messages from Symbian being sent
through the Gmail SMTP server, or another?

may be the problem a political choice of gmail to use his client?
In fact, if I use the gmail client forwarding is successful, if I use
the symbian client (the same connection, the same configuration IMAP
and SMTP) forwarding is not successful.

At this point, you only know it did not arrive, not that it was not
forwarded.
If you have the message headers, ask the administrators of the final
target account to research it. They should be able to tell you if the
message was ever received, and if so, what happened to it.
