Is it ok if I just use POP3 to read emails and not log in to my Gmail
account for a long time. Actually, I add another Gmail account to my
main Gmail account and also forward all email to my main account.So I
only need to log in to my main Gmail account to read all emails.

everytime i click on send/recieve button it starts downloading the
emails from very first email.
now i have several copies of emails
its doing it repeadetly.

I have Outlook2003 using IMAP to syncronize with my gmail account. I
followed all of google's settings and recommendations when using
IMAP. As recommended, I did not use the outlook pst to have sent
items maintained but relied on the gmail sent items to save on space
